DEHYDRATION and its Consequences
For someone who is not used to a desert climate, dehydration may go unnoticed for many hours, swearing may be very subtle. Dehyration may lead to electrolyte imbalances.
The Trauma Patient is at risk of dehydration and Hypovolemic Shock.
Hypothermia may also set in because of lack of blood flow. Inadequate blood flow may necessitate blood transfusion.
